About
I became a yoga teacher in 2019 after realizing how profoundly the practice enhanced my work as a horse trainer and horsemanship/riding instructor.
I wanted to offer clients the benefits that yoga provided for me, as well as help them create optimal relationships with horses by first becoming more aware of and in control of themselves. I teach a studio class once a week at Heart of Salisbury in Salisbury, NC. The class, Unwind and Flow, blends a variety of approaches extending beyond traditional yoga. I help participants become more mindful of sensations as I guide them through a process that allows them to move with more balance, ease and fluidity. My business Heart Centered Horsemanship weaves yoga into working with horses, teaching people to help horses become more grounded, focused and responsive through their own actions, breath, and mindfulness. Various movements, postures, and release techniques, a sort of "yoga" for horses, are incorporated to facilitate comfort and relaxation in mind and body.
