Stacy’s journey began after being introduced to yoga following a college sports injury.

Being a dancer and athlete, yoga helped to bring her body back into balance, relieve her daily stress, and soften her heart. Connecting with the breath during meditation and exploring the postures became powerful tools to guide Stacy through her own trauma to a place of peace. With a positive and playful attitude, she empowers individuals to explore their everyday choices and incorporate a mindful approach to all they do—starting first on the yoga mat and then pervading every aspect of life. She is passionate about inspiring others to bring more balance and purpose to their lives. Using her background in Kinesiology and Yoga, Stacy strives to bring balance and peace to the mind, body, and spirit of each individual she teaches. Her focus is working with those who struggle with addictions, mental health issues, and trauma. Stacy embraces the tools that Yoga provides for all individuals who suffer. Her life’s passion is to empower others through yoga to promote their own physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing, recovery, and growth. She an internationally trained experienced/ registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance as well as a certified yoga therapist and member of the IAYT. She has earned certifications in and is credentialed as: Yoga of the Heart for Cardiac and Cancer Care Teacher, Stress Management Specialist, Adapted Yoga Instructor, Yoga of Recovery Counselor, LifeForce Yoga Practitioner, Warriors at Ease Teacher for Military Populations, Prison Yoga Project Teacher, Trauma Yoga Specialist, Laughter Yoga Leader, Meditation teacher and Level III Reiki Master. Additionally, she completed the Plant-Based Nutrition Certification through Cornell University and the T.Colin Campbell Foundation / Forks Over Knives. Stacy is also an Exercise Physiologist, Sports Medicine Specialist, and Holistic Health Educator. She has a bachelor’s degree in Health/ Physical Education and Athletic Training and received her master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Performance Enhancement/Injury Prevention. Discovering deep meaning from her own personal life challenges, Stacy founded Empower Yoga Project—a service dedicated to connecting those who suffer with addiction, trauma, and mental health conditions to their wholeness and spirit through effective practices. Stacy’s motto is to share joy and inspiration -- one breath and smile at a time!
