About
Stacy Ruse, LPC, RYT, EMDR & IFS Consultant My journey with yoga began in 1996, shortly after moving to Boulder, CO.
I took my first ever yoga class with my roommate at the Bikram School of Yoga and have been dedicated to the practice ever since. For nearly 30 years, yoga has been my unwavering companion. In 2003, I decided to deepen my practice and got certified at 7 Centers Yoga in Sedona, AZ. Over the years, I have studied various forms of yoga and learned from many esteemed teachers, with each decade of practice bringing new insights and transformations. In addition to being a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), I am a licensed professional counselor with over 12 years of private practice experience. Currently, I focus on training and consulting other therapists and healers both nationally and internationally. My specialties lie in trauma-informed psychotherapy, integrating EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Transpersonal, and somatic therapies, including yoga and yoga philosophy, to bring more healing to the world. My greatest influences in yoga include Arielle Schwartz's polyvagal-informed yoga, Dr. Sue Mortar's BodyAwake Yoga, Jason Crandall, Ashleigh Sergeant, Elena Brower, and many more. I spent years working with the Anusara community and studied closely under Amber Huttner in Minnesota. My eclectic approach draws from Therapeutic, Hatha, Anusara, Vinyasa, Yin, Kundalini, and Restorative practices. While I initially taught extensively in studios, my current work as a therapist and trainer involves integrating yoga practices such as mindfulness, pranayama, gentle asana, dynamic therapeutic movement, and philosophical teachings into my sessions with clients and trainees. My soul work is to bring heart-centered practices that align individuals with their highest Self, drawing on all my learnings and intuition to facilitate this journey.
