About
Sundari Birdsall, RYT 500, has been a student of yoga since her first transformative class in 2007.
Sundari has trained in Connecticut and Colorado, and is grateful to her teachers Kitty Moore and Rolf Gates. She currently teaches yoga for stress reduction at the Yale School of Medicine. Her classes include a centering and/or body scan, yogic breathing, postures, and final relaxation. Her teaching aims to help students find calm during times of struggle and chaos, while emphasizing mindful awareness and self-compassion. She is most well-known for her soothing voice and nonjudgmental, welcoming approach. Her birth name, 'Sundari', is a Sanskrit word meaning "beautiful".
