From a young age Susan was drawn to playful movement through cheerleading and the creative expression of the arts Her artistic nature and passion for the arts led her to pursue fashion design studying at The School of Visual Arts and The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City Susan began her career designing clothing on th Avenue and later expanded into painting murals and chalkboards for businesses and homes You can catch some of Susans art work on the walls within the studios she has owned! Frequent overseas travel for work introduced Susan to the importance of quiet time and the peace found through the practice of yoga Her explorative yoga journey began with Ashtanga Yoga and quickly led her to enroll in her first teacher training This pivotal moment inspired her to open her first yoga studio which has since expanded three times Susan is now an E-RYT and YACEP -hour certified teacher and also holds a license in Massage Therapy & Aesthetics  With over hours of training Susan has amassed numerous certifications including Aerial Yoga Suspension Fitness Barre Acro Reiki Thai Massage and Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance through Rutgers Her dedication to mindfulness and positive change also led her to study Buddhist teachings with Ethan Nichtern Susans teaching style is creative and integrative combining asana philosophy and mindfulness She encourages her students to break through perceived limitations both on and off the mat Her most profound inspiration comes from the practice of service Susan actively volunteers with organizations such as Embrace Kids Foundation and Antonia Maria Foundation She applies her YSR and Yoga Sobriety training in her activism  Additionally Susan has collaborated with Partnership in Caring to fundraise for a sustainable water system in Rwanda and continues to promote the importance of service She brings yoga and mindfulness into the community schools and corporations aiming to touch as many lives as possible  In the past Susan has led a roundtable at the Womens Leadership Summit in New Jersey She also continues to lead a two-hundred-hour yoga teacher training program celebrating a decade of successful graduates As a mentor she guides aspiring teachers to tap into their inner wisdom and develop the confidence to inspire others Susan concludes each of her classes with gratitude fostering a sense of inner calm and self-acceptance in her students “Dont be afraid to shine the world needs your light” - Gabby Bernstein.
