Suzanne Bergen is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).
One of Charlotte Yoga's founding teachers and owners, Suzanne Bergen brings with her 20 years of yoga teaching experience. She has accumulated over 850 training hours and 12,500 teaching hours since she began her yoga career in 1993. She was recognized as "Charlotte's Most Moving Instructor" by ClassPass, and maintains the Lead Teacher at Charlotte Yoga. During her yoga career, she has studied frequently under highly respected yoga instructors including Bryan Best and Seane Corn, as well as under motivational speakers like the New York Times best-selling author Tony Robbins. She has harnessed her own robust educational background to lead more than a dozen yoga retreats and 35 master classes and workshops. She has co-faciliated five 200 Yoga Teacher trainings. Her passion is evident in each class she teaches, as well as in the ways she gives back outside the studio. Since 2016, Suzanne has been the Race Director for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation Stair Climb in Charlotte. Participation in the event has increased 400% under her leadership.The Foundations's motto is "While we have time let us do good."Suzanne strives to live each day by embodying this phrase. Suzanne has been married to her husband Joe for over 30 years. They moved from Manhattan to Charlotte in 1997 to raise their three sons, Joey, Peter and Alexander.
