Her classes are grounded in her belief in yoga’s power to rejuvenate the body, increase self-awareness, reduce stress, and cultivate greater clarity and peace. She teaches alignment-based yoga to individuals, in small groups and public classes, using dynamic flowing movement and stationary postures. Her direct, approachable teaching style encourages students to learn about themselves in each posture. In each class, students gain insight into strengths and areas of growth, useful and not-so-useful habit patterns and responses, and how to listen to the wisdom within. live Her classes challenge body and mind, reduce stress and tension, enhance confidence, and encourage balanced strength and flexibility. Suzanne has over 1,600 hours of training and 5,000 hours of teaching, including certification as a Yoga Therapist by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, specialty training and certifications to help people with injuries and muscular imbalances, scoliosis and Parkinson’s Disease. When not teaching or practicing yoga, Suzanne enjoys hiking in the redwoods with her husband and two dogs, exploring in Hawaii, reading and working in her yard.
