About

Suzanne McCahill Perrine, E-RYT 500 began teaching Yoga in 2005 after over 10 years of teaching ballet and Pilates.

Inspired to connect to others in her community and spread the joy and revitalizing potential of yoga, she opened The Center, Harrisonburg’s first dedicated yoga and Pilates studio. After two years of study in the Anusara Yoga tradition with teachers, John Friend, Desiree Rumbaugh, Christina Sell, Elena Browner, Suzie Hurley, Amy Ippoliti, Moses Brown and Douglas Brooks, Suzanne felt a strong desire to encourage her students to have fun, relax, and enjoy the splendid journey that yoga offers them both on their mats and in their lives. Her teachings fuse inspirations received from every-day life, poetry, poignant articles, or current events with a solid bio-mechanical awareness and alignment based asana. This combination helps students to get in touch with their bodies, replacing discomfort and fear with awareness and love, and elevates their appreciation for their bodies and the full spectrum life’s offerings. Her classes can be uplifting, humorous, and playful, or meditative, internally focused, and subtle. In December of 2017, Suzanne completed her 300-hour training through the Columbia Yoga Center in Maryland with lead teacher Bita Jenkins, and guest teachers Lucy Lomax, Max Strom, Moses Brown, Robin Carnes, Ellen Cull and Kathy Donnelly. Suzanne is eternally grateful to her teachers. She also completed and a 10-month Ayurveda course with Cate Stillman in the spring of 2017 and runs a 200-Hour Teacher Training at The Center School of Yoga in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Suzanne is also a registered Thai Yoga Bodyworks teacher and delights in helping others through the powers of touch. She continues to find more joy in her life since discovering Yoga and meditation and sharing it with others. She is also eternally grateful to her husband, children, family, and teachers who have helped to pave this incredibly beautiful path and open doors she never even knew were closed before her yoga practice. contact Suzanne: [email protected] or [email protected] You may also call: 540.383.0438
