About
Suzanne began practicing yoga in 2009 as a supplement to daily gym workouts, and after her first introduction to Ashtanga Yoga, found her new favorite type of yoga.
A few of the things that drew her to it were the strength of the practice as well as the holding of postures for five or more breaths. Fast forward to a few years later, Suzanne found Ignite Yoga as her studio where she would become a regular yoga practitioner, committed to Ashtanga a couple times per week. As her love for the practice grew, she decided to take the leap of faith and began 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2017. It was then when she was told that it was incredibly difficult and required a lot of time and study to become an Ashtanga yoga teacher. Her love and passion for the practice guided her through YTT with determination and enthusiasm. After completing 200-hour YTT, she continued learning and studying Ashtanga under the mentorship of Scott Page for one year at Ignite Yoga. During this entire time, and following, she continued to practice and attend trainings under several authorized teachers to enhance her practice as well as deepen her knowledge and experience in physical adjusting. Krista Shirley, authorized level 2 Ashtanga teacher of Orlando Florida has also been a very influential teacher and mentor of Suzanne in personal practice as well as in depth physical adjustment training. Additional certifications and trainings include adjustments with Level 2 authorized Ashtanga teacher Krista Shirley, Eva Shaw, Yin with Joe Barnett, and Chair Yoga with Donna Schnoor. Suzanne is now the Ashtanga coordinator for Ignite Yoga / Fire Sky, and teaching all over the West Valley as well as Central Phoenix. Class types including Ashtanga Mysore style & Led Primary series, Power, Vinyasa, All Levels, Chair Yoga, Gentle & Restorative. She teaches in-person classes as well as online (live and recorded). Suzanne’s classes offer something for everyone. She enjoys challenging students to grow at their own pace, by observing their practice and anatomy to best assist them in their personal goals. Suzanne Then completed her 500-hour advanced certification YTT at Ignite Yoga / Fire Sky under the mentorship of Owner Eva Shaw for Vinyasa. Her other passion is participating in the 200-hour yoga teacher trainings to teach new yoga teacher trainees. As a licensed cosmetologist since 1993, Suzanne prides herself in enjoying being of service to others. She experiences joy in helping students feel welcome, comfortable, and accomplished at every level.
