About
Tamatha is a 50+ second career yoga teacher.
Her approach to the practice of yoga is slow and mindful while focusing on alignment and form to help prevent injury and optimize the benefits of each asana or “pose.” This creates a safer and more conscientious practice regardless of flexibility or physical challenges. While her goal is attracting non-traditional students, such as those with limited mobility, visual impairment, balance challenged and restricted movement, she also enjoys teaching a strong and vigorous class that encourages effort and coordination. She is currently teaching Gentle Yoga classes, Active Chair and a Moderate class. Tamantha has been a practicing yogi for over 15 years, and as a former ballet dancer, the beauty, strength, and form of yoga initially appealed to her as a way to stay resilient and flexible. She is a certified 200 hour YTT, recognized by Yoga Alliance which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS), and a CTAA Accredited Yoga teacher. Other certifications include Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga and Ayurvedic Specialist. (300 hour YTT in progress)
