About
A central Florida native, Tammy received her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and her master’s degree in Simulation Systems from the University of Central Florida.
As a part her 28-year Disney career, she spent the last 10 years leading worldwide sustainability efforts. It was through this work that her passion for the planet and its health flourished. At the same time, Tammy realized that focusing on her own individual health and well-being was essential to maintaining the energy required to meet life’s demands and so she expanded her yoga practice and pursued teacher training certification. After returning to the US from a yearlong travel sabbatical in 2019, Tammy started Tammy Kaleel Consulting, an environmental sustainability consulting firm focused on helping organizations reduce their environmental impact. She also felt called to teach yoga virtually to family and friends near and far as a means of providing support during the COVID lockdown. What started out as a way to connect with loved ones in a meaningful way has evolved into a thriving teaching practice. She believes that by understanding, accepting and honoring ourselves through yoga and mindfulness, we can find the place of self-compassion within. Once we do this, we can extend our compassion to all people, all beings and our planet, and this is what’s required for our collective sustainability.
