Tanya is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and E-RYT 500 Hour Certified Yoga Teacher.

She's been training various class formats since 2010 including Boot Camps, Strength/Cardio Classes, Yoga, Barre, Pilates, Indoor Cycling as well as Personal Training & Small Group Training. Her years of experience working with the human body through multiple modalities informs every session she teaches. Cross training is incredibly important to maintaining a healthy, strong and flexible body. The strength built in a fitness based yoga or strength training class is incredibly important to a strong yoga practice as is the flexibility, stability and balance gained in yoga important to all other types of movement. This is why the classes at her own studio, Bodyshop Fitness + Wellness, incorporate Yoga as a way to warm-up, cool down and add mindfulness to each practice. Tanya has trained at different yoga schools including Corepower Yoga and the Yoga Center of Minneapolis. She's trained with many local Twin Cities teachers with years of experience as well as international instructors Paulie Zink & Jason Crandell. Her training includes Power Yoga, Vinyasa, Gentle, Yin, Prenatal, Children's Yoga as well as training in yoga philosophy and meditation practices. This has given her the ability to teach many styles of yoga and to understand the benefits and purpose of each. Her diverse experience lends itself to a well rounded class that builds strength and flexibility while also taking the time to focus on breath and alignment. Whether your flowing in her yoga class or sprinting in cycle, music is an integral part of her classes. Music allows us to transform our mind space and change our vibration. Tanya believes in a class that is tough, yet adaptable to all bodies. Her goal as a trainer/teacher is to inspire her clients to live a healthier life, challenge their bodies daily and to always do so with intention and purpose.
