Tara holds a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology and a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from San Diego State University as well as a Doctorate in Educational Leadership EdD She teaches a variety of lecture and activity courses full-time at Santa Rosa Junior College Tara earned her -hour RYT in June after completing a -month Integrative Yoga Therapy training at Bodyworks Yoga Studio with Jean Grant-Sutton in Petaluma now POST Wellness by Design In August she completed her -hour advanced YTT Shamanic Awakening with Kula Collective during an intensive month-long program in the Sacred Valley of Peru She is certified as an Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine ACSM a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor through Balanced Body and a Health Coach through the National Society of Health Coaches NSHC Tara is passionate about making her classes inclusive and accessible for all levels and bodies with an emphasis on proper body mechanics injury modifications and—most importantly—creating a fun safe and therapeutic experience She also served as one of the co-founders and coordinators of the SRJC Yoga Teacher Training Program.
