About
I was born and raised in Bulgaria where I started experiencing the physical benefits of Yoga at school from an early age , although, the word Yoga was never used.
Fast forward, some 20 years later, I walked into a Yoga studio for the first time in Madison, WI. I was nervous because of the bias and unreasonable expectations my mind had created about Yoga. Not only was my anxiety relieved as the poses felt familiar, but the aftermath of physical rejuvenation and mental clarity on a subtle energetic level were amazing. I was hooked - It was love at first sight! Overtime, what began as a physical practice, transformed into a discovery of the deep connection between body, mind, and spirit. The meditative aspect of practice helped me realize that Yoga is a “work-in”, rather than a workout. My mat became the “place” I knew I could come to anytime, anywhere, to find inner peace and balance. It was the one place I felt “at home”, no matter where in the world I was at. One of the beautiful things about Yoga is that it guides us towards self-discovery, and overtime, we begin to carry the lessons learned on the matt out into the world. I found that yoga allowed me to bring more presence, patience, compassion and gratitude into my daily life and my relationships. Another 15+ years later, I decided to become certified and start to teach myself. I am certified to teach Vinyasa and Yin. I’ve been blessed to have many incredible teachers sharing the gift of Yoga with me, and I want to pass this gift onto others. Even though I completed 200 RYT at Perennial Yoga School under the guidance of Megan Grace and Keith Borden and 24 hours of Yin through YACEP Kramas Yoga under the guidance of Jessica and Al Noche, I consider myself a life-long student of Yoga.
