About
Hello my name is Tracey, first and foremost I am a wife and mother.
My journey to becoming a yoga teacher started in 2002 when I went to a yoga class at my local YMCA. I was extremely overweight, but I could still touch my toes! I took my first weekend yoga teacher training course about 6 months later. I completed my first 200 hour training in 2006. The one thing I am sure of is that there is so much more that I have yet to learn! I teach Ashtanga Vinyasa classes that mix fun with a strong emphasis on organic alignment. Every body is different so everybody's poses don't have to look exactly the same. The importance lies in the feel of each pose. I also teach Yin yoga classes where we go beyond muscular work into the connective tissues of our bodies. In March of 2013 I was honored to be chosen as a facilitator for LifePower Yoga Teacher Training. You can learn more about the trainings and the program at www.lifepowerytt.com. If you are interested in more training details please contact me at [email protected]. I have been honored to learn from many teachers. Among my strongest inspirations I count Jonny Kest, David Williams, Jason Hulshof, Tory Schaefer, and my original mentor and teacher Bridget Rebeck.
