Hello! I’m Tresa, a yoga-loving tree hugger with a big heart for rescue dogs.
I found yoga when I was battling Lyme disease and felt hopeless about my future. A close friend encouraged me to try yoga and, while the poses felt awkward, the mental and emotional release of the practice kept me coming back. Yoga kept me going on the toughest of days, particularly the breathwork and meditation. The practice taught me that I never have to worry about the future if I stay focused on this present moment, simply by tuning in to my inhales and exhales. Yoga restored trust in my body’s capabilities. As a teacher, I aspire to create the same healing environments that made me feel held and nurtured such that students feel safe to explore an authentic connection with themselves. Off of my mat, you’ll find me walking my dog, sharing food and conversation with loved ones, and sitting in the sun.
