Valencia Folks is a native of She holds a MS degree in International Management from and BA degree in Strategic Intelligence from She retired from the United States Air Force after serving -years of service While traveling around the world she developed a passion for the fitness industry in the areas of fitness management consultations and assessments physical training instruction and sports event planning She also became a long distance runner; and as time has it her body required extra time and attention made a wise decision by attending her first Hatha Yoga class in ; she soon discovered its benefits In September she began yoga teacher teachers training at Pure Prana Yoga Studio The -hr course taught her the physical and mental aspects of yoga postures breathing and meditation; basic anatomy and physiology of the physical body and subtle energy body; proper demonstration of yoga postures and intelligent teaching techniques She is also certified to teach yoga to children from K through the th and to children with special needs She is currently enrolled at the Maryland University of Integrative Health stated that yoga benefits anyone involved in fitness Yoga goes beyond flexibility it trains you to breath properly improve focus confidence and much more Her passion for fitness and people in general motivated her to establish Rhythm of Yoga She teaches yoga at a slow moderate and/or energetic ‘rhythmic” pace to get the blood flowing and increase awareness of ones physical and mental self s passion is teaching and assisting others to become healthier; teaching yoga has afforded her this opportunity Certifications Pure Prana Yoga Studio Foundational Teacher Training - February YoKids Teacher Training Program - November Every Kids Yoga Program - January is a Registered Yoga Teacher RYT with Yoga Alliance which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School RYS.
