My interest is beginning yoga as well as gentle and restorative yoga for seniors and active adults  Ive practiced yoga at various studios in the Charlotte area for the past years  I just recently completed my RYT certification with Yoga Alliance At years old I was the oldest member of my member training program  My goal from the beginning of this training was to teach yoga to my fellow seniors helping them to achieve better mobility greater relaxation and lower stress from everyday life  My approach to yoga is first of all “do no harm”  Everyone is encouraged to do what is comfortable and safe for their own body There will be no judging and you can always say “no” to any poses that are not within your practice   What can you expect from a beginners yoga class?  Demonstrations with detailed explanation of each pose slower pacing to ensure mastery emphasis on meditation and deep breathing and a resting period at the end of each class known as “shavasana”  If this is something youd like to experience please join me as we begin to practice yoga on a healing journey of peace and transformation.
