About

I was born in the French part of Switzerland, but lived most of my life in Milan, Italy where I attended the Scala Theater for four years with the desire to become a professional dancer.

When I got married, I ended up moving with my husband to the US and, although I have always loved to dance, became passionate about yoga. I have been practicing yoga since 2009 and completed my 200 hour Hatha Yoga teacher training at Mt.Yoga, Poway in 2016. Since that time, I enjoyed the opportunity to assist Helena Bray - my main teacher- in yoga classes for seniors at the Senior Center in Poway and the Scripps Ranch Library in San Diego, CA. In May 2017 I completed my Silver Age Yoga Certification program through Silver Age Yoga Community Outreach (SAYCO) and I have continued assisting and subbing for Helena at the 7 Oaks Community Center in San Diego. Since January 2017, I taught a gentle yoga class at Mt.Yoga, which terminated at the end of July 2018. From April 17 to June 5, 2018, I attended a Qigong class with Master Cheng at the Poway Unified School District Adult School, and I started including some Qigong sequences in my yoga classes as a moving meditation. From May till October 2018, I taught two Qigong/Yoga sessions at St.Bartholomew Episcopal Church in Poway and resumed teaching there from April to June 2019. In the meantime, I also started a class at the Adat Shalom Temple in Poway which ran from March to July 2019. I obtained my qigong certification in October 2018. At the beginning of March 2019 I started teaching yoga/qigong at the Active Retirement Community, La Casa de Las Campanas in San Diego. I have also occasionally subbed a yoga class at the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Poway where the Poway Senior Center had re-opened its new (interim) location. In 2021 I terminated both of the above teaching because of Covid. I taught several Yoga/Qigong sessions for the City of Poway (Spring and Winter 2019; Spring and Fall 2021; Summer, Fall and Winter 2022). On November 2019 I started teaching at the studio of OG Yoga, a non-profit whose objective is to help those struggling with past traumas, present stress, and fears of the future by providing a yoga practice that make them feel safe and strong. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to teach in person because of COVID since March 13th 2020, but I resumed teaching a class via zoom starting on May 14th, 2020. I terminated my teaching with OG Yoga in December 2021. On October 2021 I started teaching a Chair Yoga class for the residents of the Poinsettia Mobile Home Park in Poway and on August 22nd one at the St.James Catholic Church in Solana Beach. I have taken several workshops with different teachers and taken part in yoga retreats and continue to do so because I firmly believe yoga is a never-ending learning experience. On a personal level, practicing yoga and qigong has helped me tremendously. As a stay home mom of two active boys, I have had the privilege to spend much time raising them.Yoga and meditation have helped me in the different stages of their growth. I have learned to be more patient and to continue to love them unconditionally. I am appreciative and grateful to give back though my own teaching.
