Born and raised in Tampa I am proud to be a Florida native lived in Colorado for years and now am excited to now be living in Green Valley AZ as of June The desert and mountains truly feel like home The joy of sharing Yoga with others is one of the greatest experiences I have known in my life so far! Sharing Yoga and its many benefits is truly my passion!! My yoga training began after a long standing home practice with a BodyFlow certification through Les Mills Inc out of Auckland in ; achieving Advanced BodyFlow Instructor status in I completed my hour Yoga Teacher Training September at Tampa Yoga in their Balance Point Program with two outstanding teachers Dale Morphew and John Stierwalt that gave me a strong foundation in the practice My hour training began when I was fortunate enough to find “my teacher” who has enabled me to not only expand my knowledge and teaching base but more importantly deepen my practice and continue my personal growth In the spring of I completed my hour certification as part of the Pose by Pose Program with Jennifer Leavy who continues to be my teacher mentor and dear friend Currently I still present and mentor students in our program My teaching background also includes private sessions as well as group classes at the YMCA Crunch Fitness and The Hindu Temple of Florida while I was in Florida In the Fall of I was presented with an offer of an adjunct faculty teaching position at Hillsborough Community College to teach Yoga at their Dale Mabry campus I feel blessed in that this gave me an opportunity to give back to the student body there; I began my college schooling at this same campus!!! In Denver I was on staff at Chuze Bladium Sports and Fitness Club in Stapleton as well as with LightenUp Fitness in the town where I lived Thornton to establish the Yoga portion of their fitness program Now in Green Valley I teach for the residents at Rancho Sahuarita as well as the members of Green Valley Recreation My time teaching the residents of La Posada a local independent and assisted living community has been most rewarding I still find time for an occasional private lessons for students will specific interests ranging from improving their golf game to exploring yoga as a part of integrative medicine I am a Level II Yoga for Golfers Instructor as well; my love for the game and experience with yoga enable me to offer individual classes as well as workshops for golfers that wish to bring the benefits of Yoga to their physical and mental “game” Yoga has been one of the greatest gifts in my life that I hope to pass along and share with all those that I encounter along the way in my journey!.
