Yoko Fujiwara

She has been teaching yoga since 2006 in Honolulu, Hawaii, and has been conducting teachers trainings since 2013. Yoko underwent a Mysore apprenticeship with Cathy Louise Broda of Purple Yoga Hawaii, as well as a primary and a secondary Ashtanga Teacher Training with Manju Jois, and a third series Ashtanga Teacher Training with Nancy Gilgoff. She also has completed a pregnancy yoga apprenticeship and a teacher training, and a kids yoga teacher training. She conducts online teacher trainings in Japanese throughout the year, otherwise teaches Ashtanga classes. Yoko has gone through many life changes since she started practicing yoga, and she is continuing to develop an understanding of who she really is. Yoko affirms that her practice has evolved primarily due to the process of deep self-reflection and actively changing patterns rooted in fear, anger and insecurity. 東京出身。2005年にハワイへ移住し、2006年よりホノルルを中心にヨガを教える。サンガワイ代表。2013年よりハワイにてヨガティーチャートレーニングを始める。 パープルヨガハワイのキャシールイーズ・ブローダのもとアシュタンガ・マイソール弟子入りを含め、マンジュー・ジョイスのプライマリー及びセカンダリーティーチャートレーニング、ナンシー・ギルゴフのサードシリーズティーチャートレーニング、その他マタニティヨガ、キッズヨガのトレーニング等も修了している。 サンガワイのメイン講師としてトレーニングを遂行する一方、日々アシュタンガヨガを伝える。 ヨーコ自身幼少期から個性を求めながらも他人との違いに苦闘する経験を持ち、日本の社会で自分らしくあることに葛藤した後にハワイに移住。ヨガと人生の多くの変化を通して自己の理解を深める。ヨガの練習が大きく進歩したのも、自分自身と正面から向き合うことがきっかけとなったと信じている。
