About

A Japanese quote “一期一会: Ichigo Ichie” means, “once in a lifetime encounter.” Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Yuki believes that this quote describes the essence of teaching yoga – cherishing the present opportunity to share and honor the individual practitioners in the space – and also appreciates her personal practice for bringing mental calmness and balance her active lifestyle.

Yuki has studied variety of aspects, including Yin Yoga with Bernie Clark, Svastha Yoga with Dr Ganesh Mohan, Wisdom of Yoga with Doug Keller, Anatomic Pelvis Yoga Method with Katsunori Uchida in Japan, Prenatal, YoKids, and Trauma Informed Yoga. Besides yoga, she has been doing CrossFit since 2007 and completed 7 Marine Corps Marathon. With her personal experience, she strongly believes that not only is increasing one’s range of motion and flexibility vital for performance improvement, but that yoga is also the most effective tool for self-care, recovery, and injury prevention. Yuki is always looking forward to sharing that “once in a lifetime encounter” with other practitioners with the private session, Yoga Teacher Trainings, and the group classes. In her classes, Yuki creates unique, fun sequences based on her functional fitness experience.
