Zamanta Archibold

Born in Panama, by a Trinidadian mother and raised in the heart of Brooklyn.  She received her BFA in Interior Design from Fashion Institute of Technology. After many years as a corporate designer, the birth of her daughter transformed this city chick.  Tired of bitter winters, the fast pace and continuous asthma attacks Zamanta moved out of the United States for the next seven years. While living in the Dominican Republic and pursing her Black Belt in Karate, she received an injury that introduced her to yoga.  She has been on that path ever since. While living in Mallorca, Spain, she really dived into her practice. Finally, she met the honorable Swami Brahmavidyananda, who certified her at the Institute of Holistic Yoga. Afterwards she registered as a yoga alliance teacher, E-RYT and now practices and teaches an integrated mix of styles created like her mulata upbringing. Today, she lives and teaches in South Miami with her daughter and dogs. Her unique rhythm and energy combined with years of practicing a variety of yoga styles has created her 'Personalize Your Yoga' approach. Each class is individual with focus on alignment, movement, strengthening and having fun, within a flow. Zamanta offers to the world Za Yoga Retreats, Workshops, and Private classes. Also, she reaches out to her community through services like Yoga4Vets, and Hear me Now. As for the future, Zamanta would like to incorporate her interior design skills with her yoga teachings to connect everyone to a lifestyle, which brings harmony, peace and joy.
