About
Zee was first drawn to yoga as a form of stress relief during her time at the University of California, Irvine, where she studied for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.
What began as a grounding practice quickly grew into a lifelong passion that she has continued to deepen through study, movement, and teaching. She earned her 200-hour certification at Kaya Yoga Remedy in Huntington Beach, with training rooted in Hatha and Iyengar traditions. Alongside her yoga practice, Zee has cultivated a strong background in fitness, including powerlifting, indoor cycling (where she also holds a teaching certification), CrossFit, contortion, and handstand/inversion training. This blend of strength, balance, and discipline informs her teaching style—where students are guided to explore both alignment and playfulness in movement.Zee’s classes are inclusive and empowering, designed to create space for all bodies and all people. As a Black African woman born in Cameroon and raised in Southern California, Zee holds community and representation close to her heart. She believes yoga should be a welcoming practice for everyone, no matter where they begin. Her teaching spans the spectrum—from fiery power flows and sculpt classes set to high-energy soundtracks, to grounding restorative series centered on yogic philosophy such as Santosha and Tapas. Zee also loves curating special themed classes, blending music, movement, and storytelling to inspire her students both on and off the mat. When she isn’t teaching, you can find Zee traveling (Japan and London are recent favorites!), exploring new ways to move, or spending time with her beloved pet, Puff. Above all, she brings warmth, love, and community into every space she leads—encouraging her students to find strength, serenity, and joy in their practice.
